Production & Preservation Note: Hollenbeck Park, where this scene from Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo was filmed, has changed very little since 1984. The sidewalks are in different places in some spots, and several of the older trees are no longer standing.

The Plot

Due to the success of the movie Breakin' released early in 1984, the producers rushed a sequel into production. Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo was released later that year. The plot is simple: The neighborhood community center is threatened by a developer and the breakdancers come together to raise $200,000 in order to buy the property.
