We're back in 1984 and the breakdancing craze is sweeping across America, thanks in part to the movie Breakin', the predecessor to this movie.
Of course, Hollywood wants to cash in on the unexpected success of Breakin' and the result was this movie: Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Take a look at a great scene featuring a lot of amazing, physical dance moves, all filmed on location on a residential block in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, and see what that same neighborhood filming location looks like today.
Due to the large number of filming locations, there are FOUR Quick Preview Videos devoted to this movie.

Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo filmed all over the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. The movie is a great time capsule of this part of the city, capturing numerous parts of the area on film.

The Lorena Street Bridge is an Art Deco landmark in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. With it's many support arches, it's visually interesting and a bit out of the way, making filming there relatively hassle free.
In this scene from Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo, the two rival breakdancing gangs meet under the bridge.

Here's a scene from the first movie in the series, Breakin' (1984). In it, the character Turbo (played by Michael Chambers) dances with a broom outside the convenience store where he works. The scene is a nod to the legendary dancer Fred Astaire, who also danced with a coat rack in the 1951 movie Royal Wedding. Watch this scene of Fred Astaire dancing with a hat rack here.
Filmed on location in East Hollywood, the area hasn't changed much since 1984, with both of the 1920s era buildings prominent in the scene still standing.
