Production & Preservation Note: The building, located at the end of 2900 Calle Pedro Infante, has remained very much as it was when it was originally built, with only minimal changes to the outside structure, mainly for earthquake resistance.
Due to the success of the movie Breakin' released early in 1984, the producers rushed a sequel into production. Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo was released later that year. The plot is simple: The neighborhood community center is threatened by a developer and the breakdancers come together to raise $200,000 in order to buy the property.
